How Can Red Spots On The Chest Area Be Treated?

Question: HI,
My boyfriend has hairy chest and some red spots under his hair, i m wondering what it can be...
Is it folliculitis of the hair by any chance, they are not itchy but some XXXXXXX spots and he has a lot of curly thin hair...XXXXX

Hi Dear ! Thank you for posting your question here in HCM .

I read the concern carefully and Yes these might be foliculitis. Inflammation of the hair follicles that are red lesions around the hair , sometimes may/may not be itchy and with pus inside (white).

Most common cause is bacterial infection ( Staphylococcus ) .Warm water , avoid shaving this area, keep it clean will help.
Also local application of ointments i.e Fusidic acid or mupirocin ointment for treatment .
