Question : My three year old son is coughing for three days he have taken mac pod Dilo Bm omnacortil but his condition is not well what should I do please suggest

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. Greetings from XXXXXXX I understand your concern. But before guiding you further I need more information. Please revert back with answers to my questions.

Questions:
1. How many days per month does he cough or feel breathless?
2. How many nights per month does his sleep get disturbed due to above symptoms?
3. Does he feel breathless when he runs around or plays with other kids?
4. Are the symptoms when there are seasonal changes?
5. Is there any family history of asthma or any other sort of allergies like skin allergy etc.?
6. Is the cough always associated with fever?

He has no problem you mentioned above he has viral fever after that he starts coughing And he has problem of cold and cough after two or three months

I feel he's recovering from a viral illness and cough is common

Detailed Answer:
Hi...I understand your concern. It is very common for kids to have intense cough while recovering from a viral illness.

You can use Syrup Promethazine or Phenergan available as 5mg/5ml strength at the dose of 3.5ml thrice a day for 3 days for cough. As it is a 1st generation antihistaminic it will work for cold also.

But this is a prescription drug and you will require a doctor's prescription for this.
