Question : Hi! I am having problems with my thinking and head. It seems like I either have a chemical disorder or something else is wrong. I have had a sinus infection now for 6 weeks and I ENT is trying to clear that up. Today for instance I felt pressure on the front of my face and my mind was fuzzy as well as sweating and like anexity was building .

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If you are taking oral steroids for the inflammation, that can definitely have psychoactive side effects, including anxiety.
Is it at all possible for you to take the steroids as a spray rather than orally (assuming the steroids you are taking are oral)?
Also, what antibiotic are you taking? Some antibiotics, such as in the Fluoroquinolone family, can cause unusual symptoms.
When you say that you felt pressure on the front of your face, I imagine you don't mean associated with your sinuses?
I shall await your reply.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Cefdinir is a cephalosporin antibiotic and is not usually associated with the symptoms you described but can cause dizziness.
Pressure above the eyes and cheeks may be your sinuses, so I am not sure if the feeling was from some activity there (such as breaking up of the infection) or was related to the anxious type feeling.
Of the two medications, the oral steroid is much more likely to be associated with feelings of anxiety.
I recommend talking with the ENT doctor about this.
Hope I have answered your query.
