How Can Swelling And Tightened Stomach Muscles Due To Shingles Be Treated?

Question: I have had shingles for five weeks now the scabs are healing really well but the swelling is terrible. All of my stomach muscles are tight and it looks like I have a grapefruit under my skin on my right side how can I help this problem ?
Brief Answer:
A short course of oral analgesics and moisturizers will help.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The tightness of the underlying skin/muscles is possibly due to reflex irritation caused by the scab and swelling. Kindly upload a photo of the swelling so that I am better able to help.
I generally prescribe a short course surface application of moisturizer and oral medications like Diclofenac sodium with Serratiopeptidase combination to minimize the swelling and discomfort to my patients with such symptoms.
Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these medications to you.
Thank you
