How Can Tingling Feeling In The Fingers While On Gabapentin?

Question: Query for Dr. XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
Hope all is well with you.
I have a new symptom in the past few weeks.
I have been on 200 mg of gamapentin 3 times a day for about 2 months now.
The tingling in my fingers has decreased
I now feel like my hands have sand in them.
For instance, if I put body lotion on, It feels gritty when it is smooth.
My fingers feel normal to everyone from the outside.
Does this help to diagnose what I have.
I have been to neurologist and all tests normal he says
I was at immunologist and all tests negative.
Thank you again for your help.
Best,
XXXX

One thing I forgot to mention.
I do drink a good amount of alcohol. Mainly on weekends. One small amount during the week, if I have any. But weekends, quite a bit. Usually not until dinner time.
A martini or 2 and then wine.
Do you think alcohol could be causing some of my problem?
Also still more uncomfortable when I shower.
I know too much on weekends in general.
Thank you again!
