Question: How can you get a mole to stop bleeding? It is on my husbands's scrotum area, He thinks he may have pulled the mole off when towel drying after a shower. It has been bleeding a slow drip for around 25 minutes and will not coagulate,

Brief Answer:
Stop bleeding from the mole

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Bleeding from moles following scratching or pulling are very common. Use a washcloth dipped in iced water to apply pressure at the site of bleeding. Apply pressure in intervals of 10 minutes. If available, applying alum block which can help stop bleeding and disinfect the area.

If bleeding recurs frequently especially without any triggers like scratching or a change in size/shape/color of the mole is noticed, follow up with your primary provider to get a biopsy done.
It can take some time for the bleeding to stop especially if your husband is on medications like aspirin or warfarin.
