Question : 2 YEARS AGO I PASSED A KIDNEY STONE AND IT LEFT A REDMARK/SCRATCH AT OPENING OF THE URETHRA. HASNT HEALED YET, TRIED ALL OTC ANTIBACTERILS , BACTROBAN AND NOW MY DOCTOR HAS ME USING HYDROCORTISONE ACETATE 2.5% WITH PRAMOXINE 1% CREAM.
DO YOU THINK THIS CREAM COULD WORK? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM?

Brief Answer:
Can be a lichen

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, history and photograph.
From the photograph, this is not looking like a wound at all. Does this cause pain/ burning/ bleeding or any other symptom?

The small wound caused like this would have in any way healed within a few days. And particularly if would have been caused by passing of a stone. It will never take so much time.

No creams would work as you have already tried nice ones.
Do not apply anything locally.
Nothing.
Consult a Dermatologist. This can be a skin condition like Lichen or so.
Only He can diagnose and treat accordingly.

Brief Answer:
Any other symptoms/ increasing factors?

Detailed Answer:
Great , you have already seen one Dermatologist.
I would suggest you to consult another one - a second opinion.

Only discomfort- noted.
This means no bleeding, no pus, no open wound- I suppose.
Reviewed the photo. This does not appear to me like a wound at all.
Looks more of a healed scar or so.

Does your sex partner/ spouse ( if you have one- not mentioned by you) have any history of discharge or any other problem? Do you use condom? Is there any factor which increase this lesion?

Sometimes after sex I have the discomfort but not always. Wife doesn't have any problems
It never increases just decreases then after awhile goes back to "normal"

Brief Answer:
Nothing looks much to worry about.

Detailed Answer:
Nice to know that your wife does not have any problem; this almost rules out and STD ( the ones seen and are common in any couple- nothing serious about it please).

Occasional discomfort - may be due to dryness or excessive rubbing.
You say: discomfort sometimes- decreases and then foes to normal.

Frankly speaking : just go for a second opinion of another dermatologist, if he thinks this is not abnormal, you can live with it. Please do not apply anything to it.
If the Dermatologist feels there is a problem, it would be wise to take the medicines by you and your wife. ( this is to ensure one thing of abolishing any factor which might have to do with your lesion- just a remote possibility)
