How Conclusive Is The ELISA Test?

Question: I Have checked for HIV last month and the results are ELISA- Negative and CMIA- positive, but the doctors told me to take the test again after a month to conform on it. So my confusion which test to believe.
Brief Answer:
send details of exposure
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
It is not clear about the exposure, intercourse history, time since exposure, partner history, symptoms, any diseases, treatment taken etc. Please furnish the same details.
As Elisa is negative, it may be early stage or negative. CMIA detects hiv p24 antigen or antibody. If it is positive, it detects antigen. So the test can become positive in window period. You may need to go for repeat test again to confirm the same.
You can get back for any clarification with details.
