Question : Have walking pnuemonia. Been on pentacillin for 3 days, inhalers and prednisone. Just resting. Supposed to be back to work in two days. Am on vacation. Will I be contagious in two days and is that too soon to go back

I am so sorry to hear about this diagnosis of walking pneumonia. You would not be contagious. The main cause of contagious pneumonia that can be spread by air droplets is not known to cause pneumonia. Feel safe and you would not represent any threat to your coworkers. It is not too son to return to work. Many people continue working with milder forms of this infection. As long as you feel great, there is no fear.
