Brief Answer:
depends on symptoms, further investigations and overall improvement/worsening of present condition

Detailed Answer:
Hello Vxxx, Welcome back to HealthcareMagic,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

First of all, you need to get investigated further (since you've visited the doctor, and he's suspecting dengue fever), I believe you must've been already investigated for this...

In general, stable Dengue fever can be managed at home only with antipyretics (PARACETAMOL) as well as supportive care (plenty of oral fluids, fresh fruit juices, and ample rest), and should resolve on its own within a matter of time (can take from 7-14days depending on management of symptoms and overall improvement)...

I think by dangerous dengue, he meant to say the critical phase of dengue fever, which mainly accompanies with rapid deterioration of general condition, multiorgan dysfunction (liver, kidneys, lungs, heart, hematological, and neurological impairments)...this requires intensive monitoring and prompt hospitalization for immediate care and management...

However, not to worry, as with prompt management recovery is quite quick also...

I've tried to make it as simple as possible for you to understand, please let me know if there are any further concerns...

Take Care
Kind Regards
