How Do You Relieve Wrist Pain?

default
Posted on Tue, 12 Jun 2018
Question: My left wrist is hurting. It is painful when I use my thumb, twist a bit, make a fist, or attempt to swing a golf club. This has been going on for about a month. I have tried a support and Motrin. Thoughts.

Brief Answer:
Ligament injury

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

It appears that you duos have sprained a ligament connecting the thumb to the wrist.

I would advise you to wear a Thumb spica splint for a couple of weeks and then get yourself reassessed.

Avoid lifting weights or making a fist.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Dr.Aashish Raghu
