Question : Hi, An trying for kid, iam undergoing medication now. Doctor said myself and my husband reports are everythng normal and i have an egg in the right overy of size 24*29 on 12th day it got ruptured on 14th day normally.And she has done IUI on 15th day. As i read from net egg life is 12 to 24 hours, in that case what ever doctor has done(IUI) is not correct i think. Please suggest me

We have checke with doctor, she sadi that egg life is 7 days so it can be done any time in 7 days. is that true? IUI done for me twice.. What is the correct time to do IUI?if doctor comes to know the egg has ruptured how they would know when it happend and how soon she can do IUI?

Brief Answer: with in 24 hours Detailed Answer: Hi, IUI has to be done with in 24 hours of egg release. Generally injection hCG is given after egg becomes 18 mm in size. The egg releases after about 36 hours of giving injection. IUI is done before 48 hours of injection. Hence egg rupture has to be timed with IUI. Regards
