How Effective Is Plan B Emergency Contraceptive In Preventing Pregnancy?

Posted on Thu, 21 Jan 2016
Question: Hello, I'm having an issue concerning unprotected sex that I had the other day. I had unprotected sex 1 day ago with the same guy that i had unprotected sex with 2 weeks ago. After having sex with him the first time I took Plan B right away. Now I am worried about taking Plan B again since I already took the pill 2 weeks ago. I don't want to ruin my chances of being pregnant in the way future. What makes me think i don't need the pill is because I am bleeding when i use the bathroom but it's not my period. So will the chances of becoming pregnant become significantly lowered? Should I take the pill anyways ? Is the bleeding normal after tough sex?

Brief Answer:
No need to take pills

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
There is no need to take the pill as it is most probably your period which has come a little early because of the effect if emergency pill taken 2 weeks back.
So no need for the time being but in future either use protection or use oral pills on regular basis so as to help in relief of anxiety.
All the best.
