Question : Hi I have taken plan b three times this cycle due to condom issues. I also used spermacide in all but the last incident. He did not ejaculate in me any of the instances. My cycle is very regular 27 days and I took pill on day 8, 12 and 16. I have already got birth control to start at my next period so this will never be a concern again as I'm not ready for children. I am worried. Also it says plan b is effective for 10 days . What does that mean?

Its good that you have resolved to a regular method of contraception from next cycle.
But you have messed up this cycle a lot by taking plan b thrice.
Though the chances of pregnancy are very low because your mid cycle was covered by it and the use of spermicidal agent and lack of ejaculation inside vagina but the progesterone in plan b can cause a little derangement of periods in this cycle.
Plan B acts the best for 72 hours post ingestion and not for ten days.
Though your mid cycle was covered but still there can be a delay of periods because of the effect of progesterone.

Ok, so its very unlikely for me to be pregnant? Ive always had issues with birth contol as far a weight gain a breakthrough bleeding. Is there a certain type you reccomend for the future?

Hello dear yes there are negligible chances of getting pregnant as you had plan b in your mid cycle along with spermicidal jelly and no ejaculation in vagina.
Breakthrough bleeding is not common if patient takes medicine regularly on same time so don't worry about that.
Take any pill with low dose ethinyl estradiol and drospirenone which will not cause any weight gain and is typically coined for weight concious females.
