Brief Answer:
Narco 10 is relatively stronger analgesic that Vicodin ES (750/7.5)

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for choosing HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your problem. Narco 10 mg consists of Acetaminophen 325 mg and Hydrocodone 10 mg. You have fibromyalgia and as per my opinion this strength for pain medicines is correct and is sufficient to relieve pain. Vicodin ES also consists of same ingredients as Narco but in different strengths. It consists of 750 mg of Acetaminophen and 7.5 mg of Hydrocodone.

As per my opinion there would be not much change in pain in switching between these medicines. If you have been prescribed Narco 10 then continue to take this medicines only. Most probably its all in head. The drug is a strong analgesic used in intractable pains.

As you have fibromyalgia pain then you can discuss with your doctor or psychiatrist for addition of some pain medicine that provide better relief in fibromyalgia pain like Pregabalin, Gabapentin etc. These medicines have good efficacy in fibromyalgia. SNRI drugs like Duloxetine also have excellent efficacy in controlling somatic pains in fibromyalgia. You can discuss your doctor about these drugs.

Just to sum up- As per my opinion no benefit in switching to Vicodin ES from Narco. Narco is stronger analgesic than Vincodin ES. Most likely its "all in head".

Thanks, please don't hesitate to ask a follow up doubt.
