Does this mean then that if one masturbates, the virus will not be spread to the hands and therefore possibly have warts also appear on the hands or fingers? I know that hygiene should be considered, but if one is not mindful of it, can the virus than be spread to other people in this manner, by carrying the virus on unwashed hands after masturbation I mean? I am concerned about it being spread to family members through carelessness and bad hygiene on the infected person's part.

"At clinician request, the tissue is sent for HPV testing at Mayo Medical Laboratories. Their analysis has identified the presence of HPV family 16, indicating positivity for one of the following subtypes: 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 66. The official report from Mayo will be scanned into the medical record."

Are all HPV strands transmitted sexually, or is it ONLY HPV 16 and 18? I know 16 and 18 are the High Risk that are linked to cancers, but are the others such as 6 and 11, transmitted through other means or sexually as well? Thank you for your patience and your answers.
