Herpes simplex infection is caused by hsv1 or hsv2 viruses. They can be transmitted by skin to skin contact or by kiss or as STDs.
HSV 1 usually around oral cavity. Hsv2 usually around genital area.But both can occur in either of areas .

Actually,the condition was UTI herpes (simplex?)

It is a virus( herpes simplex virus) which can cause urinary tract infection ( UTI) .This would have lead to other complications.

It can be from simple skin to skin contact with any person or as STDs or kiss.Some may get in childhood stage itself. They may remain asymptomatic also.
You can also get tested for herpes simplex antibodies both HSV1&2 for now .
It is better to get tested to rule out anxiety.
