                                            Question : I am 44 years old had 3 c-sections my last in 8/200 and I am now thinking of having a tubal ligation because I know I do not want anymore children and want a more permanent method of avoiding pregnancy.  Now since I have had 3 c-sections, how would this surgery be preformed and do you this this would this be able to be done?

Hello and thank you for your question. Certainly you should be able to have a tubal ligation The C-section scarring should not interfere with the procedure. The typical way is for this to be done through a laparoscope so that you only have a few small scars where they introduce the instrument. The gynecologists introduce the laparoscope through a small incision, locate the fallopian tubes and then cut and ligate the through tools introduced in the laparoscope.
