I have a decayed tooth which is now starting to pain.
What medication can I take?
Brief Answer:
X-ray followed by appropriate treatment.
Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Thanks for the query..
If you have a decayed tooth that is painful, then it can be probably due to deep decay reaching the nerves..
Taking medication will only provide temporary relief.
You should consult a Dentist and get an X-ray of the tooth done.
If decay is reaching the nerves, Root Canal Treatment can be done followed by antibiotics like Amoxicillin and painkillers like Ibuprofen, Diclofenac or Naproxen can be suitable for this.
As of now to relieve pain take Ibuprofen 400mg twice daily after food for next 2-3 days.
Avoid chewing from painful side.
Apply clove oil over the tooth..
Please feel free to write back for more queries.
Regards.
