Brief Answer:
Days to Weeks

Detailed Answer:
T3 levels will start to come down within days while T4 levels will reduce only after 1 week.
However, it will take 6 weeks for the T4 levels to stabilise and attain 'steady state' in the blood.
T3 has a shorter 'half-life' in the body i.e. Testing for it sooner will reveal lower levels within a week itself.
Blood tests will reflect this. Total T3 and Total T4. Free T4 is also a reasonable choice of test.
In general, Nature thyroid is no recommended by thyroid experts worldwide. It is considered unsafe. Levo thyroxine is the treatment of choice for managing an under active thyroid ('hypothyroidism')

If T3 is excessive to the extent causing tachycardia, elevated BP and slightly elevated body temp, is there any typical treatments for counteracting these symptoms while awaiting the T3 levels drop after dosage reductio, or does one just wait for things to slow down?n

Brief Answer:
Follow up

Detailed Answer:
If the symptoms are severe then a type of medication called beta blocker can be considered. However this should be used under strict supervision of a licensed medical practitioner.
But if the tachycardia and elevated BP/body temperature are only mild, then they tend to improve within days because as I mentioned earlier, T3 levels decline quickly in the body following cessation of the source i.e. Nature thyroid in your case.

Would cessation in a case such as this typically be complete cessation or would a titration schedule be followed? My ultimate goal is to stop the treatment altogether (my hypothyroidism was mild, i have felt no improvement during treatment, and much anxiety when crossing into hype). Note i am working with a licensed practitioner but am seeking your additional feedback and verification. Unfortunately I cannot directly ask my dr these questions without an appointment, typically i ask and receive answers through an assistant. r

Detailed Answer:
Thyroid medication can be stopped suddenly if the body does not need it and no gradual withdrawal is necessary.
However, the determination as to whether or not you have true hypothyroidism is something that requires comprehensive evaluation.
But it is a good idea to go off the Nature thyroid anyway and take the recommended type which is levo thyroxine. If the assessment by an endocrinologist reveals that your thyroid is working then obviously svn XXXXXXX thyroxine is not required.
There is a systematic way of going about ascertaining this. Blood tests called thyroid auto antibodies along with a physical examination give important clues.
