How Long Can Fentanyl Patches Be Used For Pain Management?

Question: My daughter is staying with us and she is one the Fentanyl patch for Fibromyalgia and Psoriatic arthritis. She thought she would be able to find someone fairly easily but the only doctor she can get in to see is at one of the pain management centers, and that isn't until 3 weeks from now. Her last patch will be for this Friday. She has called several doctors here in XXXXXXX Her Fibromyalgia doctor is Dr. XXXXXXX Eubanks in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Do you have any suggestions on how I can help her?

ER's can give short term

Detailed Answer:
replacement patches. The fentanyl patches can perhaps be stretched slightly. They work best for 2 days, they are written as every three days, but might be stretched to 3.5 maybe four but will NOT have their full strength. It's a problem.
