Brief Answer:
An average 6-8 hour working day shouldn't interfere :)

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. All patients with superficial thrombophlebitis are recommended to go about their usual daily activities, but at the same time they are also encouraged to make a few changes to their routine.

If being a secretary involves having to sit at a desk for long durations of time, I would say a 6-8 hour working day should be fine, but I would also recommend the use of compressive stockings during the day and also to get up from the seated position once every 30 minutes and stroll for about 5 minutes which should also include flexion-extension of one leg at a time while in the standing position, this should be alternated between the legs, one each time. This will help improve blood circulation as well, but otherwise no other restriction.

I am glad she is being treated as well. :)

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
