Question : On your suggestion of a few days ago; I met w/a cardiologist who told me I had heart
failure and prescribed a dieuretic for the fluid in the lungs and swelling of the ankles. Also
a beta blocker to lower blood pressure even tho I don't have high blood pressure! How
long does it take to show some results? This is my 5th day.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir
After going through the medical details provided by you I understand your concern and would like to tell you that results and prognosis depends upon multiple factors like what’s the severity of the disease, associated medical illnesses etc.
However as your doctor didn’t suggested you to get admitted in the hospital so I am presuming that your heart failure is not of severe type. Generally most of the patients start getting a noticeable response to medications within in a week or 10 days of starting them.
So just stick with your prescribed meds and you will be better soon.
I hope this information will guide you properly.
Kind Regards
