Please find my observations below.

1. The survival of sperm out side the body depends on where it is deposited. The survival depends on amount of semen deposited and the environment.

2. If the semen containing sperm gets dried in air then it is no longer alive.

3. If it is deposited in a damp surface having moisture then it can survive for few minutes to hours until it gets dried.
