Question: How long does it take for cefrozil to work for a prostate problem in a man? when to go back to the hospital?

Your 83 years old father has been scheduled for surgery for Enlarged prostate and have been prescribed Cefrozil .

Ceprozil is an antibiotic (Cephalosporin ) prescribed to treat UTI secondary to enlarged prostate .It will help to reduce the infection and there by reduce burning urination and fever etc but has little effect on size of the prostate .

You can go to hospital on a day before planned for surgery till then you have to continue taking Cefrozil as advised by Urologist .
