Question : I have taken 1 tab of cytolog on the night of 23.06.2015 and 1 on 24.06.2015 night but still nothing has happened. Please advice how to take the tablet and when can i get the result? My pregnancy test shows positive and want to get aborted. My period cycle was on 18.06.2015.

The abortion pills can only be taken under supervision because sometimes it may cause infection, severe bleeding and incomplete abortion.
We are usually given mifepristone and mesoprostol for abortion.
As you gave her mesoprostol ( cytolog) than you should consult your treating doctor for the same.

Total 12 tablets.

Hello dear,

If you use only mesoprostol than the chances of complete abortion is only 90% .
Before taking the drug you should go for ultrasound scan to see the exact site and size of pregnancy.
Total 12 tablets are required for complete the abortion and only be taken under supervision to avoid complications.
We are giving 4 tablets at 4 hrs. interval under the tongue.
Bleeding usually starts 4 hrs.after taking it.
You should starts it in the morning.
