My doctors have be on medications for the symptoms but whatever is causing this is getting worse. I still have to wait until Thursday to see the gastrologist.
even bread upsets my stomach and the pain can be excruciating
If this was ibs shouldn't I be seeing an improvement since I'm not eating?

                                    Brief Answer:
Visualization of mucosa
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for follow up query.
GI scope helps visualize mucosa (inner lining of GI) directly. And can take biopsy to examine under microscope for fine details.
In CT scan we can't see fine microscopic details of mucosa.
