How Long Does Methimazole Take To Be Effective Against Hyperthyroidism?

Question: Hello Dr Heijebu
I am the patient my husband was discussing with you s few weeks ago . I do have elevated free T3 and T4 with hyperthyroidism. Saw an Endocrinologist and was prescribed Methiazole ( could be spelled incorrectly) 2 tabs BID. Then I follow up with labs in October to see where I am at.
I still have nausea, occasional headaches, difficulty sleeping, feel tired very easily. I was told I will feel better in 2 weeks. I am also taking a BP tablet to lower my rapid pulse.
Thanks,
XXXX
