How Long Does Misoprostol Remain In The System?

I had to take misoprostol for a hysteroscopy to ensure there was no tissue left from a miscarriage a couple of months ago. My uterus was clear and we did not need to do a D&C. Can I get pregnant this month? I'm worried the misoprostol will still be in my system.
Thanks!
The misoprostil is out of your system in 24 hours, but you need to ovulate again in order to get pregnant
Detailed Answer:
Hello and I hope I can help you today.
The misoprostil is out of your system at the most in 24 hours after you use it. However your pregnancy hormone needs to go down to zero before you will ovulate again. It is generally recommended you wait until you get a period again before trying after a miscarriage because (I know you had a hysteroscoppy to check for retained products) but it can confuse the dating of your next pregnancy and make it harder to diagnose viability if you never get a period and get immediately pregnant again. And you really shouldn't have sex until at least 2 weeks after your procedure because your cervix is still open and that can put you at risk for infection.
10 percent of pregnancies in women under 35 will be miscarriages which means next time you have a 90 percent chance of having a completely normal pregnancy.
So I encourage you to wait for your period (can take 4-6 weeks) and then start to try again. You can have sex 2 weeks after the procedure, but use a condom or withdrawal until you get a period.
I hope I adequately answered your question today and that my advice was helpful. If you need anything further, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Best wishes and good luck with your future pregnancy, Dr. Brown
