Morphine oral has a half life of around 4 hours.

Keeping this in mind, after 7 half lives the amount of medicine in your system will be less than 1 percent.

Therefore after 28 hours you can expect less than 1 percent of the morphine to be in your system.

Like wise after 2 days only 0.02 percent will be in your system. In other words, 99.98 percent of the morphine will be out of your system in 2 days.

Every medicine which we consume has a time duration after which the concentration becomes half of the original amount. This is a term used to denote the time after which half the medicine will be cleared off by the system.

Therefore after about 7 half lives or the amount of medicine in the system will be 0.02 percent which is extremely low.
