Norco contains acetaminophen & hydrocodone. Duration of action for acetaminophen is 4-6hrs while that of hydrocodone is 4-8hrs. It means that there action will subside in XXXXXXX 8 hrs. Afterwards they are metabolized in liver & excreted via urine.

how does (hydromorphone hydrochloride) 8 mg Tablets compare in efficacy to Norco 10/325?

(hydromorphone hydrochloride) is almost 8 times more potent per milligram. It is a much stronger drug than the Norco-type. If patient does not gets relieved from Norco then doctor may shift patient to(hydromorphone hydrochloride).
