Brief Answer:
It stays around 24 hours

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

Xanax stays in system for 24 hours as it has half life of 8 to 15 hours. If she finds lorazepam more suitable for her there is no problem in shifting back to lorazepam as both the molecules have similar structure and mechanism of action.

I hope this answers your question.
