Question: I need to know if urine tests can at times show up as a neg. positive. I had not had a drink in over 5 weeks. How do I dispute this?

After intake of alcohol maximum within 5 days it is clear from the body and can not be detected in urine test.

However many possibilities of alcohol false positive urine test.

It is important that a person undergoing drug testing complete an accurate history of all prescription, Over The Counter medicines, and herbal drug use prior to the time of the sample collection as any of them may cause false positive result. Hand sanitizer, topical creams or lotions and even mouth wash may cause false positive results for alcohol.

Just check above information and see what are probable cause in your case.
