Question : Dr. XXXXXXX last night I took the acetaminophen because I felt slightly feverish. And now I took my first Cipro of Day Four. Do you mean that a slight fever can also take 7 to 10 days to disappear, and I should wait until then to do the urine test? Overall I do feel improved but still a bit tired especially after sundown..

Brief Answer:
urine examination can be done now.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your response. Since you are still having fever, it can be a possibility that Ciprofloxacin may not be so sensitive in treating your infective organism. Urine culture reports will help in knowing the appropriate antibiotic in your case. If the infection is cured by correct antibiotic, fever should not come. You need not wait until 7 days. You should go for the test so that if needed, antibiotic can be changed accordingly for relief from your symptoms.
I hope this answers your query. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Regards. Thanks.
