Brief Answer:
2 weeks would improve SD remarkably; thereafter maintenance treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you writing to us.

Various treatment options for seborrheic dermatitis/ SD include...
-Topical antifungals like ketoconazole, oxiconazole, sertaconazole etc;
-Oral antifungals like itraconazole, fluconazole etc;
-Topical steroids;
-Topical immunomodulators like tacrolimus, pimecrolimus.

These treatment modalities may be used either singly Or in combination. Treatment usually brings about a remarkable improvement in SD in just a few days to 2 weeks time, depending on extent and severity of initial involvement.

However since SD may recur therefore maintenance treatment with topical immunomodulators and/ or topical antifungals may be required to keep this skin condition in remission.

Brief Answer:
Use a moderately potent topical steroid

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

I have reviewed the Images. I can see patches of dry and scaly skin over the beard area, on either side.

I suggest you to use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g either Fluticasone propionate 0.05% cream Or betamethasone valerate 0.05% cream, twice daily, over the affected area.

Brief Answer:
Moderately potent topical steroid cream

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

I think you should try out the cream which I have suggested. Use it only for 2 weeks.
Seborrheic dermatitis responds very well to topical steroids.
