Question : how long does it take after consuming alcohol to lower mcv levels

                                    Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The time taken depends on how much you drink. MCV stands for mean corpuscular volume.
It is increased with regular use of alcohol. The life span of Red blood cells is 90-120 days (3 months) .
If you stop drinking, it may take this time for the MCV to come down.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
