Question : How long do you think it takes 20 mg of Prozac to take affect ? My son is on 10mg and he doesn’t think it’s working yet. He’s 23 and 170 pounds

Hello,

It can take 4-6 weeks for this medication to deliver its best effects. If that amount of time has passed with minimal improvement, the dose should be increased slowly, up to a maximum of 80mg daily.
