Brief Answer:
sciatica?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

please clarify the reason you were given an epidural injection and the drug that was used for it. If it was an epidural steroid injection for sciatica (irritated nerve that caused low back and leg symptoms) then we would have expected improvement already (usually within 2-5 days after a successful injection). If there is some improvement (but not enough) you can use drugs by mouth like paracetamol (acetaminophen) which is a very weak painkiller but combines well with other painkillers like opioids and NSAIDs. NSAIDs have a lot of untoward effects particularly to patients with pre-existing medical disorders (renal failure, diabetes, hypertension, peptic ulcer, etc) and opioids may cause addiction and central nervous system depression if abused.

I hope it helps! Please get back to me with more information, if the aforementioned explanation does not relate to your case.

Kind Regards!
