Question : how long does it take for sulfamethoxazole/tmp to clear a UTI infection for a male.

First signs of improvement should be seen after 2 days and after 5-7 days,symptoms should disappear. Antibiotic should be taken for 10 days. If there is no improvement then urinoculture must be done and antibiotic changed. Wish you good health. Regards
