Question : hi Dr. Rynne, how long does it take for an occasional marijuana user to get it out of their system, they are not overweight.
Brief Answer:
URINE SCREEN IS DONE IN MOST CASES.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for asking.
I can understand your concern. In normal situations, urine screen is done and after around a week the test comes negative.
In blood test also, the test becomes negative in 1-2 weeks.
In rare cases they do hair or nail test which can detect the use even after 10-12 weeks. The risk to come positive is more in regular heavy users. She is occasional user and I also doubt they will do hair or nail test. In most cases, they do urine screen.
Thanks.
