Question : I had a lower lip biopsy for a basal cell carcinoma on XXXXXXX 23. The people who did it only told me to keep Vaseline on it. How long should it take to heal and what can I expect? I'm getting a bit concerned.

Hi and thanks for the query,

I understand how disturbing this could be.

It rarely takes more than two weeks to heal.

In case you do not have any underlying condition like diabetes, or an infection, the healing process should not be an issue.

I think the healing should be complete within the next two weeks.
