Hi,

The period of treatment with corticosteroids (Prednisone) depends on the pathology, as different diseases need a different period of treatment ( it may last from one week to several months or years).

The dose you are taking is the lowest and we usually suggest tapering (gradually lowering the dose) when we start with high doses.

So, I cannot say whether you need to take it for a longer duration (depends on why you are taking it). But if you want to stop it, it is a quite low dose and can be stopped abruptly.
