Brief Answer:
Diverticulitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

Acute diverticulitis complications are more cpmmon in elderly people, in patients who are immunocompromised or who have associated comorbid conditions, such as diabetes and/or renal failure.
In diverticuliyis cases with mild to moderate severity clear liquid diet and 7-10 days of oral broad-spectrum antimicrobial therapy is usually enough. Improvement is markedly seen after 4 to 5 days of regular medication. If the symptoms persist then complications such as perforation leading to peritonitis should be ruled out in consult with your doctor.
