Brief Answer:
About 10 days in an average in my opinion :)

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. The usuall recovery period is such: the patient can be discharged anywhere from 3-10 days post-operatively.

During the hospital stay, the wound is cared for well enough and the patient undergoes rehabilitation during which he/she begins ti walk, begins to pass his/her bowels and so on.

So basically, after a certain status of health is reached, the patient is sent home with a set of instructions and a few medications as well. After 2-3 days at home, he/she can return to a job which does not require any physical strain, which I think is where your job also falls.

So in my opinion, about 10 days post-op should suffice, depending on the surgery and your rate of recovery there can be a few days (2-5) extra.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.
