Question : I had a squamous cell carcinoma removed from my leg five weeks ago and it is not healing. It is sore but does not appear infected. Wound is on shin bone. What do I do?
Brief Answer:
please post a photo
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Please try to post a photo of it.
There are few possible causes of delayed healing and these include certain diseases such as diabetes or wound infection or local factors such as bad circulation, inadequate margins resection of tumor or the skin damaged too much for appropriate healing. You should apply granuflex or similar patches for healing improvement, have bacterials swab and recheck for tumor recurrence. Wish you good health. Regards
