How Long It Takes To Recover From Removal Of Titanium Placed In Jaw?

Question: My godson has an ameoblastomy of left jaw, he has had the surgery once and titanium placed in jaw, it has re grown and the titanium has pushed through the skin out of his chin. I am funding him to come to us to get it removed. Where is a good place to get it done? (I live in VA). How long will he need to recover in us from removal? How long will he have to wait for healing before plastic surgery?

2. He will require at least 4 weeks for the recovery after removal of the tumor.

3. This can be decided only after seeing the extent of the disease in the CT scan. Certain prosthetic procedures can be done immediately, such as bone grafting. If dental implant is needed then, we need to wait for at least 4 months post surgery
