Brief Answer:
Cast is kept for 4-6 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
After multiple fractures an internal fixation the cast is applied for 4-6 weeks. Regular monitoring is done with X-rays every two weeks to see the extent of healing. After the bone heals, the cast is removed and gradual physiotherapy is started to regain the full range of motion.
I hope this answers your query.
