How Long Should I Take Registrone For Irregular Periods?
Question: I am taking Registrone tablet 5Mg. bd from last 3 months to regulate my M.C., as I am a 45 years old lady with uterine fibriods of size sidling myoma. I want to know how many days i take this tablet as this help me to regulate my periods.

Regesterone tablets are safe. You can take them to regularize your periods every month till you reach menopause i.e mostly 48-50 years of age.
Your myoma will not be affected because regestrone is a modified progestin called Norethisterone acetate. Myomas are affected by estrogen.
So you can continue to take regestrone but be on the look out for the following side effects.
Acne, allergic reaction, breast enlargement or tenderness, bulging eye, headache, weight increase or decrease, yellowing of the skin or eyes.
If these occur then only you need to stop them.
