Question : I had knee surgery 4 weeks ago. Staples were removed 2 weeks ago and now there are surgi strips over the wound. Should I be replacing the strips or wait for next dr visit in a week. I had a broken patella

Brief Answer:
There is need of removing the strips , not to replace them.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. 4 weeks already passed and staples already removed 2 weeks ago. So you can remove surgi strips, there is no need to replace them, you only need to remove them. No further covering of incision is required as already 4 weeks already passed after operation and 2 weeks before staples are also removed.

You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
