Question : I have taken duphaston for 7 Days. 10mg per day. When can i expect my period. Moreover this cycle i did not hav follicle growth

Hello,

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns about getting periods after taking duphaston .

Following is my reply:

1. Duphaston contains progesterone content which helps in getting periods after stopping tablets due to withdrawal of progesterone hormones fro the body.

2. This withdrawal bleeding occurs anywhere between 4 days to 10 days after finishing last dose. Hence wait for 10 days.

3. Dont worry about follicles not growing. Duphaston will bring periods even if no follicular growth.

But it is 12th day after duphaston. I did not get my periods. Do i need to wait foe some more days. And i hope there is no chances for pregnancy becos of no follicle growth. My follicle got shrinked to 12*11 Mm

Though there was no follicular growth when last observed, it is possible that you could be pregnant due to delayed ovulation. Hence i suggest you wait for another week without any drugs.

Meanwhile do a home pregnancy test to confirm if there is pregnancy or not. If no pregnancy please wait for another week.
